A place for artists of all kinds to help those with rare/incureable conditions!

Hobbies For Humanities is a nonprofit, nonpartisan enterprise whose mission is to improve the lives of those who are suffering from a rare or incurable disease, syndrome, or condition. We will raise money for both the foundations that study rare and often incurable conditions (such as Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) , Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also called Lou Gehrig's disease, Asperger Syndrome, and Chiari-Malformations to name a few) as well as to help pay some of the medical bills of those suffering from these illnesses via third party 501c3 such as The Lighthouse Community. We understand the economical hardships that someone with a long-term illness can endure and want to help them with a small portion of those medical bills. Our long-term goal is to help raise awareness for those lesser-known conditions while at the same time helping to support people both emotionally and monetarily while they fight for their health. These are illnesses that greatly affect people’s lives yet don’t always get the publicity that is needed to fund progressive research. Because of this many of the people who suffer from these illnesses feel alone, misunderstood, and forgotten. 
This is what we want to bring an end to.

To do this we ask artists and crafters of all kinds, nation wide, to donate their work or time to the website so that we may sell those items or services. The general public can then go to the site and purchase those items or services, or may make a direct monetary donation. Our intent is that people who want to help others financially but are unable to may still help raise money for those in need by using their passion- their Hobbies. We intend on keeping an open log of donations that are being made at all times (Unless the individual or company would rather remain unlisted) as well as a journal of donations, both monetary and otherwise.
